I left my preferred job in December 2025. Although I wanted to work there long-term, some problems prevented it. Today, I will share the reasons in this personal blog and case studies.
First, how I got the job
In 2023, I joined various SEO Facebook groups to learn SEO and build community connections. In one group, I saw a hiring post by Mehdi Hasan Rifat for a flexible-time job. I applied out of curiosity and was impressed by their management's seriousness. They communicated regularly via email with excellent timing. I gave the interview and was shortlisted among the top 3.
Challenges I faced while working
The company first asked us to create plans, which I prepared and emailed on time. This helped me a lot. My main challenge was understanding client behavior and the exact role I was hired for, as proper guidance from the SEO managerial position was missing at the start.
How I overcame them
I overcame the challenges step by step. I completed all tasks on time and submitted them.
I fully performed the role I was hired for, such as technical audits and fixing technical issues. As a result, I remained among the 3 and continued working.

Some results from my work
I worked with full skill and dedication to deliver the best results and bring success. See the screenshots below for the real results I achieved.
1st achievement
For "santa fe food magazine" (a highly competitive keyword for New Mexico, USA), I ranked our site at #1.
Method:
(i) Optimized homepage meta title and description with the target keyword.
(ii) Placed the keyword in H1 and H2 headings.
(iii) Published related blog posts.
(iv) Collected high-quality backlinks.
2nd achievement
I ranked a blog post for its targeted keyword and generated regular traffic and leads from it.
3rd achievement
I ranked many published recipes and achieved rankings for some high-KD keywords (see screenshots).
Google Search Console Reports
On October 16, 2024, we achieved 4.5K clicks. By October 26, 2024, it reached 5K. This was due to my regular keyword research, blog publishing, and updates. After January, our traffic rose steadily from October onward (see screenshots).
This was a short presentation of the results after working on the site.
Why I left the job
I wanted to continue, but due to the poor US economy, our niche marketing budget decreased. Clients reduced, and the CEO faced high costs from his father's illness and legal issues. He could no longer sustain the company and decided to close it. See my job experience letter for full details.
People I really liked in the office
The founder, owner, and CEO was Eric Martinez from New Mexico, USA. He worked on his family business and dream projects. He was energetic, hardworking, communicated regularly with the team, and gave effective guidance. Despite some disagreements, he focused on growth.
I learned a lot from the company, especially from Creative Director Nihad—his beautiful presentations and organizational skills. I still remember his first presentation comparing our work to an astronaut (who must be an engineer, doctor, and pilot to handle any situation).
My entry was through Mehdi Hasan Rifat, but he left shortly after I started. I then worked as a Technical SEO Expert under SEO Manager Omar Bin Kabir, whose guidance was very helpful.
Conclusion
I successfully completed 2 years and 4 months at Media House Agency and left in December 2025. This was my second job in the SEO industry, where I worked long-term. It was a success, and I am truly happy to have worked with some great people.
